Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Treatment

Psychotherapy

We have all faced trauma, disappointments, and hurts throughout our lives that can easily create what seem like insurmountable challenges. At its core, the objective in therapy is to provide tools, solutions, and ways to reframe your current issues, allowing you to overcome challenges in many areas of your life. Therapy differs from Applied Behavior Analysis in that it deals with more of the underlying issues while ABA is more specific to desired behavioral change.

Applied Behavior Analysis

Every behavior functions for a specific reason, yet that does not mean the behavior is healthy or helpful. ABA tries to change behavior by assessing the functional relationship between a targeted behavior and the environment and then replace the behavior. As such, I target unhelpful behaviors at work, home, or within an office environment, and how these behaviors contribute to increased stress or lower productivity. Together, we explore ways to modify these behaviors, or replace them with healthier solutions.

Executive Functioning / ADHD Coaching

Executive function and self-regulation skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. The brain needs this skill set to filter distractions, prioritize tasks, set and achieve goals, and control impulses. have extensive training and work with adolescents and adults with ADHD. Typically, adolescent and adult ADHD looks very different in the workplace, higher education, and in relationships. While there is support for younger children with ADHD, often adults can be left struggling to function in their daily lives when struggling with deficits from ADHD. I can help you find the tools and techniques you need to live a more functional and productive life.

Art Therapy

Art Therapy is the approach of using art as a way of processing and expressing our emotions. Often, it can be difficult to put into words what we are going through, and art is a means of being able to express when the words won't come. Art Therapy can also help you discover and understand yourself on a deeper level, and can increase mindfulness and release stress. You don't have to have any formal training in art to do art therapy.
